[Penny can’t just say let’s be friends after all.]

[Ami chuckles and decides to trust Penny a bit more. The lid of the brooch would open up, revealing the Water Stone inside. At the same time, her costume would shine and revert to ribbons wrapped around her body.]

So how do you get one of these?

I was chosen for it... it's a long story, actually - past lives, resurrections, all of that. The stone will react if you are chosen, too.

Pretty exclusive club, huh.

[Penny looks at the stone, shaking her head.]

I’d rather not know. I feel like I’d be setting myself up for disappointment even trying.

There's nothing wrong with trying, Penny. I promise.

…I guess if I’m not expecting anything in the first place, I can’t be disappointed in the result.

[She slowly reaches her hand out.]

[And as Penny reaches out, she can start feeling something inside grow, a warm feeling.

The ribbons that made up Ami’s outfit start reaching towards Penny.]

What? No. No way.

[Even still, she keeps her hand steady.]

Hey, magical force! You picked the wrong girl!

[Did it? The ribbons keep reaching out, starting to wrap around Penny’s arm. Amy’s gloves disappear.]

It’s okay…

[Penny lets the transformation finish before stretching out her arms and legs one at a time to look at herself.]

…Hm. Looks better on you, honestly.

[With the transformation finished, Ami was back in her school uniform.]

You sure? I think it looks cute on you.

I don’t really do cute.

[Penny keeps unconsciously grabbing for her hood to try to pull it over her head. Of course, it’s no longer there.]

[She can see she’s nervous and panicking, thus she reaches over to pull her into a hug, intending on hiding her face.]

It’s okay…

[Penny just stands there at first, arms at her sides.]

I don’t feel like I deserve this.

[And she starts petting her hair.]

I understand completely. But, magic doesn’t work in terms of logic. Neither does love or friendship.

[Penny buries her face in Ami’s shoulder.]

[And she pets her hair gently, rocking her.]
