[After she's learned the truth about the soul gem but before she's lost it completely and started to just go berserker mode on witches, yeah. So definitely no more than a few.]

What, so you're going to show me how it's done? Is that it? Look, thanks and all, but I didn't ask for your help, and I don't want your pity.

[More like she doesn't think she even deserves something like that at this point.]

Pity? No. I will never give you any pity. Only disdain.

[Oktavia too believes that believes that she is not even worth pity. After all, she is nothing more than a killing machine.]

[She gets nothing but from Homura and Kyoko, after all. Or at least that's how she sees it.]

I know, all right! Shut up already! I know I'm an idiot! I know I've already thrown away everything that would ever make me worthwhile! Fighting witches is the only thing I'm good for anymore.

[saber_sayaka]

[She sighs.]

If you're going to be like this, you really are worth nothing. Haven't you ever considered how Madoka would feel if you disappeared? How Hitomi and Kyosuke would feel? And what about Kyouko? Even if you're already a Puella Magi, it's not too late now!

H-how do you know about Madoka? And Hitomi and Kyosuke and Kyoko? Have you been following me?

[Sayaka sweeps her hand out to the side, causing a dozen swords to flash into existence in the air, and one in her hand. They're just hovering there for the time being, but she's clearly been put on the defensive.]

Answer me! If you even think about going after my friends...

I've shadowed you from the moment that you made that wish. The moment you wrote, no, threw away your future.

[Oktavia too waves her hand. A dozen swords of different types float in front of her, circling her like some sort of defense.]

Do not worry about that. I would never go after your friends. After all, they are not the insufferable idiots around here.

You're right, I threw it away. I threw away all the happiness I could have had on a stupid dream that could never come true. Now I'm just a monster.

[She takes a step back, bringing her own blade up horizontally across her front, ready to deflect anything that might be coming at her. And she's looking more than a little suspicious and wary about this stranger's technique, too.]

So you're here for me, then? I thought so. Why don't you just get it over with? If all you want is to kill me, cut it out with the lecture already!

[saber_sayaka]

You've got poor balance.

[As if to demonstrate that, she throws a sword at Sayaka's weapon, aiming to unbalance her.]

If I wanted to kill you, I would have done so a long time ago. I just want you to stop following these twisted ideals and live your life.

[Sayaka brings her blade up to block, managing to clumsily knock the sword aside. It's true, she's not very good at this yet, and it does throw her. She rights her posture quickly, though, not about to stand down.]

This is my life now. It's the only thing I have left. Living like a human would just be lying. Lying to myself, lying to my friends... lying to the people I love.

[She can't face them like this. She's too ashamed. Even Madoka... she doesn't deserve concern like that. And there's no question in her mind that Kyosuke would reject her completely if he ever knew what she'd become.]

Why do you even care about me, anyway?

[Sayaka is many things, but she's never been particularly quick on the uptake.]

No, this is lying. You should try to be happy while you can still feel happiness. Even if you're a rock, you still have human emotions, so treasure them before you become a complete machine.

[She smirks behind her heavy armor.]

Let's just say I know what may happen to you if you keep on being stupid.

[Sayaka's grip on her sword has tightened to the point where her hand is starting to go numb. Numb like the rest of her. It's an almost comforting feeling at this point - she's spent so much time trying to shove her emotions down that she barely remembers how to deal with them rationally anymore. It's why she flies off the handle like this at the slightest provocation. And that smug smirk isn't doing much for the situation, either.]

I already know. I'll spend my whole life fighting witches until one of them finally kills me. It's not hard to figure out. I'm just a puppet made for combat, after all.

[saber_sayaka]

And do you know what will happen when you die?

[Oktavia's swords start shifting into an offensiv stance.]

If you die like that...then your pain will never end.

[knight_of_discord]

What do you mean? How do you know what's going to happen to me after I die?

[Sayaka's swords move to mirror Oktavia's. She's not about to let down her guard now. At least not until she finds out what this woman is really here for.]

Who are you?

[saber_sayaka]

[At this time, the wall behind them is completely smashed.]

Tch. It found us.

[She turns to the rampaging monster.]

Take a good look. It might change your mind.

[With that, she charges into battle.]

Tch...

[Echoing that little sound of annoyance, Sayaka leaps back, recalling her blades with a flick of her wrist. She's still holding one last sword in her hand just in case, but she decides to humor the other girl for the time being. Besides, for all her bluster and big talk, she knows that potentially having to fight both of them is not a situation she wants to be in right now. So instead, she watches, ready to spring in if necessary.]

[saber_sayaka]

[The fight is bloody, to say the least. The older girl barrels in, with no care as to defense. As she rains swords on the enemy, its attacks, strike her directly. Pieces of flesh and bones and even entire limbs fly off, but she not only keeps standing, but regenerates in splays of blue musical notes. Finally, one attack hits her in the face, tearing away half of her head. However, with the remaining half, she smiles a crazed smile.]

Do you think...you can hurt me with something of that magnitude?

[She raises her sword and stabs down, finishing off the enemy. She then turns to Sayaka, showing Sayaka her regenerating body, covered in blue light and her own blood.]

What do you think? Are you scared now? If you aren't willing to change, then take a good look at your future!

[Sayaka watches in mute horror as the fight rages on, her sword arm falling limply to her side. Is this how she's been fighting? All that enthusiasm she had mere minutes ago for launching herself straight back into the fight has seemingly drained away, and all she can do is observe this gruesome spectacle unfolding in front of her eyes. And once she catches sight of the visual effect accompanying the strange woman's regeneration, she gasps loudly.]

Th-thats...!

[The vocalization of her sudden realization is cut short by the finishing attack, as she shields her face to avoid being splattered with the spray of blood. And as Oktavia turns to face her, Sayaka's sword clatters to the ground before disappearing in a flash of light. The girl herself falls to her knees, unable to even muster the strength to remain standing upright. Tears stream from her face in silent sorrow, and it seems like forever before she's finally able to speak.]

You... you're me, aren't you?

[saber_sayaka]

Yeah. Or at least, I used to be. You...eventually lost yourself in your battle. And...bad things happened.

[No need to let the girl find out too much now.]

Eventually, you died, but a Goddess saved you. But you...I didn't learn anything. I wanted to go back. To do it again. To be a real hero this time, but...

[She raises her hand to wipe away tears from her one good eye.]

But those things don't exist. In the end, I could only fight battles in distant worlds. I could only kill and kill and continue killing. This body...is no more than a human shaped sword now. Do you know? Swords can't hold anything, protect anyone...

[She sighs.]

Unless you want this to be your future, hurry up and change those beliefs of yours.

[Sayaka frowns, looking down at her hand, balling it into a fist and then flexing her fingers back out again.]

[She gives a little nod.]

In another world, you did. But if you make a different decision...well, I wouldn't disappear. Still, I'd be at peace knowing at leave one version of myself chose differently.
